You are resilient…

You are resilient…

This is the word that the Lord dropped in my spirit a few weeks ago. I hope this brings encouragement to you, so that you may push through whatever it is that you are going thru!

Definition of resilient (adjective):
a : capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture
b : tending to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change

Resilience is an adjective meaning it’s a descriptive word for nouns and pronouns.

Just bear with me, I promise this will all work together. I want you to understand the foundation of what resilience means because once you do, you are going to be able to relate it to your life and see how you too have been resilient.

God took me all the way back to when I was a toddler. Not many know that when I was a toddler, I almost drowned. The doctor said if I were under water for ten more seconds I wouldn’t be here right now. But… I overcame, and I recovered!

The molestation, the rape, the abusive relationships; physically and mentally, the promiscuity, the partying and drugs, my escorting days, or even having to deal with my parents’ divorce, even thru all of this, RESILIENCE still pushed itself through my body frame.

Resilience doesn’t mean you’re not going to go through anything; it means you will not stay in that state. It means you will recover. It means you will adjust and push thru!
If I can do it, so can you! Whatever you are going through is not going to last forever. Remember that your current situation is not your final destination!

Hold on to this word and know that God created you to be a conqueror! Let resilience be the adjective that describes you and your life. You don’t have to conform to your issues or weakness; you can use them as strength builders to get you through to your next season.

1 John 5:4: “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” ESV
