Keep pressing even when…

Keep pressing even when you don’t know the end from the beginning. What do I mean by this? I mean that if you started something and things don’t seem to be going the way you wanted them to go, or had planned in your life, keep pressing.

I had been questioning God for the past ten years why me? Why did I have to move away from my family? Why couldn’t I still fulfill my destiny being where my family was?

As many of you know who follow me, know how hard it is for me to be away from family. It’s definitely one of my biggest struggles when choosing to say “yes” in following the call of God on my life. Of course, right behind it would be waiting for the Lord to release my husband to me, but that’s for another day and another blog!

It all made sense 10 years later on November 4, 2018, the Lord released a word to me through my pastor. In paraphrasing it, my pastor gave me the scripture: “anyone who leaves behind land, house, and family to follow God will receive 100-fold reward not only in this life but in eternity.”

In researching this scripture, Jesus says it 3 different times, in 3 different books of The Bible. He says it in Matthew 19:29, Mark 10:29-30, Luke 18:29-30. The number three is also considered to be the number of completion along with a few other numbers. But, if Jesus said it 3 different times, I shall see it come to pass.

Another thing my Pastor said was: “it was God’s doing in what you left behind in Vegas, and that you’re collecting grain for the famine just as Joseph did for his brothers.”

I share this with you to show you that I kept holding on to what God had told me and showed me, even when I didn’t have all the answers to what I was doing. Even when I found myself lost at times. Even when I didn’t understand it; I kept pressing and pressing and pressing until God saw fit to answer me and tell me why.

It took 10 years for the Lord to release an answer to me, (which 10 is also another meaning of completion), but I have great peace in my heart now to know that this was all in God’s doing and not my own doing.

Your struggle may not be like my struggle, but whatever your struggle is, keep pressing, because in due time, God will release your answer to you and it will all make sense.

It’s easy to focus on your current circumstance, but hold on tight to the thing that fuels the fire in your heart. If God said it; He will do it. He is not a liar; He can’t lie. He is a Lord of all truth. He may not release it when we want it or how we expected it, but He will release at the right time and at the right moment.

In the meantime remain steadfast, keep your faith, and keep pressing, because your answer will come!
